2001 Menghai Tea Factory 7542 “Simplified Yun”

This is one of the very best Hong Kong traditional storage cakes we have been able to find. It has a rich nutty and juicy taste, with earthy-mineral undertones and little to no geosmin. It has no smokiness, very low astringency and a crystal clear liquor. This is the same storage batch as described here. Keep in mind that the wrapper is a bit beat up, and that is normal for this age and storage.
