This 2011 batch 001 of the 7542 recipe from Menghai Tea Factory is in a sweet spot for value at the moment, and compares very well against the 2010 batch 001 that we have carried for several years. This natural Taiwan-stored example is aged enough to appreciate its strengths, but not quite aged enough to command high prices. It has a recognizable 7542 profile, with plenty of strength, crisp bittersweetness, plumminess, and uplifting effects. Recommended for those wanting to experience Dayi’s most famous recipe at an affordable price point.
