2015 Purple Dayi
This is a limited release of the 2015 Purple Dayi with natural (relatively dry natural) Taiwan storage. This cake is one of our top candidates for aging among the teas made by the Dayi factory after 2005. This is not a yearly production, and appears to be from significantly higher quality material than the usual recipes from Dayi. This tea’s profile strikes us as more old-fashioned, with some woodiness, a bit of piney smokiness, and a sweet floral/resinous aroma.
