This is a 2018 Alishan oolong with a classic light-medium charcoal roast. Well-rested after the roast, the tea has a pleasant depth in the throat, a thick texture, juicy flavour, with warm bakery and hazelnut notes and an interesting and engaging perfume. It also has a discernible high mountain aspect. This was the top-rated Taiwan oolong from the May 2021 tasting panel.
