1990s Aged Dianhong
This 1990s aged Dianhong has been stored in Taiwan in comparatively dry conditions, and has never been reroasted. The aging process has made it slightly less sweet and substantially more complex than a newly processed Dianhong. The first infusion shows notes of leather, old books and vanillin mixed with the sweetness of oxidized tea and a touch of acidity, which decreases in subsequent infusions. This is an excellent example of the transformations imparted by aging to fully oxidized tea.
