Description

In preparation for the upcoming price increases following Chinese New Year 2025, we are offering an opportunity for a group preorder of Biyun Hao early productions.  Most of these teas will be familiar to our customers over the past few years, as they have featured in various quarter cake sets and tastings.  The only tea which we have not offered before is the 2007 BYH Manlin, a Manzhuan-area single origin cake (the first and we believe best BYH pressing from this village) which has a very slight, pleasant smokiness and a noticeable bitter punch which we greatly enjoyed.

Besides this tea, we organize the teas as follows:

2004-2006 Yiwu and Manzhuan: These are the original excellent gushu blends from early BYH. We have followed these teas for almost 10 years and they have consistently impressed us.

2007 Manzhuan is a continuation of the 04-06 blends from Manzhuan, while 2007 Manlin gives a single-origin and very slightly smoky version of the same grounding character possessed by these teas

2008 Daqishu and 2009 Xiaomannai are classic Yiwu productions with excellent single-origin material and processing. Both are from the same producers used in the 04-06 blends.

2009 and 2010 Chawangshu provide an excellent reference for this famous Yiwu village.

2011 Zhengjialiangzi and 2012 Mahei are a single-origin and blended version of Mahei-area old tree productions.  2011 Zhengjialiangzi has been extremely popular with our tasting panel and our customers, with  strong resinous perfume, good longevity, and a penetrating heating effect. 2012 Mahei has a much more subtle flavour, thick soup, and strong relaxing effect.
