Early 2000s Old Tree Bulang Tasting Set

This is a limited release of 20 sample sets, each consisting of a pair of 20g samples for a total of 40g per order. Both teas were obtained from a collector who participated in the original sourcing and production of the teas in Bulang in the early 2000s. The collector obtained excellent old tree material from various villages in Bulang and had two cakes pressed: one is a wider blend of old tree materials from Bulang and the other is a single origin focusing on Banzhang.

Both teas are undeniably powerful; one is more rich, sweet and resinous, whereas the other is more singular, austere, and stronger. We encourage blind tasting of the pair of teas in a slow session, possibly with some snacks…
