Twelve Cent Shou Brick

This 250g ripe puerh brick was produced in 2001 in the style of the Kunming 7581. After such a long period of clean, dry storage in Taiwan, this shou is smooth and mellow, with satisfying depth of taste and minimal wodui fermentation note. The flavour profile reveals more pronounced grain and cereal notes with less betelnut; the texture is of medium thickness, and the liquor clarity is quite high.

While there are many relatively cheap shou bricks from this era with essentially indistinguishable wrappers, they differ greatly in quality of material, strength of fermentation, and storage style. Having tasted many overly dank duds, we are particularly happy to have found this example and to be able to offer it at such a low price.
